Why we recommend
If your skin is dry or sensitive, or if you suffer from rosacea, Milky Lotion Cleanser is great for getting your skin clean without drying it out or irritating it. It’s a non-foaming cleanser free of sodium lauryl sulphate (SLS), so it won’t strip the oil from your skin. It’s also free of artificial fragrance, parabens, and gluten.

Milky Lotion Cleanser cleanses your skin gently without stripping it of its natural moisture. This cleanser’s non-foaming formula shifts makeup and grime without upsetting your skin’s balance, while its hydrating and soothing ingredients keep your skin comfortable and help maintain your skin’s protective barrier.
HOW TO USE IT
Use Milky Lotion Cleanser either once or twice a day, depending on your skin and its needs.
You can use this cleanser on either dry skin or damp skin – whichever you find works best for you. Dispense a couple of pumps’ worth of cleanser, and then massage it gently on to your face using circular motions for about 30 seconds, loosening makeup, dirt, and oil on the surface of your skin. Then rinse your face thoroughly with warm water and pat it gently dry with a towel.
Water, C12-15 Alkyl Benzoate, Petrolatum, Butylene Glycol, Glycerin, Glyceryl Stearate, PEG-100 Stearate, Cetearyl Alcohol, Caprylyl Glycol, Cetearyl Glucoside, Ethylhexylglycerin, Hexylene Glycol, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Phenoxyethanol, Phoenix Dactylifera (Date) Fruit Extract, Pyrus Malus (Apple) Fruit Extract.
Do I need to double cleanse?
If you wear a lot of makeup, or if you find your face collects a lot of dirt during the day, double-cleansing can be helpful. On the other hand, if you don’t wear makeup and don’t get too dirty, you probably don’t need to double-cleanse. If you find that your skin doesn’t feel or look clean after cleansing it once with Milky Lotion Cleanser, try cleansing a second time and see if you get the results you want.
Is sodium lauryl sulphate bad?
Sodium lauryl sulphate (SLS) is a surfactant — an ingredient that helps to remove oil and dirt from whatever you’re washing, such as your face or your clothes. SLS is effective and widely used in many products, so there’s nothing inherently bad about it. But if you have dry or sensitive skin, or if you suffer from skin conditions such as eczema or rosacea, SLS can disrupt your skin barrier, causing problems such as redness, dryness, and itching. In this case, you’re better off using a cleanser that doesn’t include SLS.
