- It uses mandelic acid, a gentle type of alpha hydroxy acid which can dissolve its way through oil (yes, just like salicylic acid does, even through salicylic acid is beta hydroxy acid and mandelic acid is an alpha hydroxy acid).
- Like all hydroxy acids it helps improve skin hydration from the inside, which is useful because oily skin needs moisture and hydration just as much as any other skin type.
Apply this to clean dry skin at night, and that should be all you need. It’s lightweight, but it delivers enough hydration that you don’t need to put anything over the top.
