This is a terrific ‘starter’ vitamin C serum if you haven’t tried a ‘serious’ one before. It is effective but also gentle as the type of vitamin C in here is well-tolerated even by sensitive skin. Why might you want a vitamin C serum?

Description

Well-formulated vitamin C is one of the fundamental pillars of a good skincare regime. This is a terrific ‘starter’ vitamin C serum, by which I mean, if you haven’t tried a ‘serious’ vitamin C before, this is a great one to start with,  because it is effective but also gentle. The type of vitamin C in here is Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate which is well-tolerated even by sensitive skin.

Why might you want a vitamin C serum? Well:

  • It’s an antioxidant, so it scavenges up unstable free radical molecules that accelerate ageing in the skin
  • It helps your skin to protect itself against sunlight and pollution (though not to the extent that you can skip the sunscreen, sorry)
  • It encourages the formation of new collagen in the skin
  • It helps brighten the skin by slowing down the rate at which the skin creates new pigment

 

Use this on clean, dry in the morning, before any moisturiser or sunscreen that you are planning to use. You can use it in the evening as well, if you like. The key thing is to use it, daily, and when your skin is acclimatised to this, you can step up to using the C Tetra Intense product, which is just the same, but a bit stronger.
